The family of Eleonore “Eleanor” Rollande Ferchuk (nee Richard) sadly announce her passing in Prince Albert on February 9, 2021, at the age of 83 years.

Eleanor was predeceased by her parents: Alexandrine Richard (nee Lepine) and Louis Richard; her son, Wesley Ferchuk; her husband, John George Ferchuk; her sisters, Esther Richard, Olive Richard, Louise Plante (nee Richard), and Ann Hart (nee Richard).  Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Diana Ferchuk; her sons, Randy Ferchuk, Craig Ferchuk (Sara), and Jeffery Ferchuk (Arlene); her grandchildren, Christopher Hofer, Josh Ferchuk, Alex Ferchuk, Raqual Dombowsky, and Eli Ferchuk; her sisters, Frances Blanchard (Ervin) and Lucy Richard; her brothers, Leonard Richard, Rene Richard (Jean), Gerald Richard (Evelyn), Conrad Richard, and Fabian Richard, as well as numerous, nephews, nieces and great-grandchildren.

Eleanor passed away peacefully with family by her side, after a brief battle with pneumonia.  Eleanor had a hard life, losing her best friend and sister at 17 years of age and her son Wesley at 4 years of age.  As a teenager she was the oldest and had to quit school to help raise her siblings on the farm just outside of St. Louis.  She lost her husband at 33 years of age and had to raise her 4 children alone and with meager earnings. Still, she provided for her family through all these struggles. Eleanor was a proud member of the Victory Baptist church and had a strong faith in her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The family would like to thank Green Hill Lodge and Suites that cared for mom in her last few years and the medical team on level 5 at the Victoria Hospital who provided care and compassion in Mom’s final days.  A Celebration of Eleanor’s Life will be held at a later date.  Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com.
