Elaine Hrynenko
1941 ~ 2022

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Elaine Hrynenko on Monday, July 25, 2022.

Mom was born in Kinistino, SK, on September 21, 1941. Mom met Dad in April 1964, and they were married July 18, 1964. In 1970, they welcomed their son Morris, and in 1976, they welcomed their son Michael. She worked at the Community Clinic for forty years. In 2009, Mom and Dad became Baba and Gido with the birth of Harlen. Mom cherished her time with Harlen.

Mom enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, playing dice, planting flowers, and having a big garden. We will always remember Mom for her great cooking and the love and care she had for family.

Mom, you were always there when we needed you. No task was too great or small. You had a loving heart and a willing hand. Thank you for the years you gave us, and the times we shared. We only pray that when you left us you knew how much we cared. Forever in our memories.

Elaine is survived by her loving family, her husband, John Hrynenko; her son, Michael Hrynenko; her grandson, Harlen Hrynenko; her siblings, Walter (Bernice) Fedorychka, Hilda Evenson, Sylvia (Ian) Oliver; her sister-in-law, Olga Mihilewicz; her daughter-in-law, Carrie Hrynenko; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Morris Hrynenko; her parents, Andrew & Anna Fedorychka; her brother, Orest Fedorychka; her parents-in-law, Mike & Mary Hrynenko; her in-laws, Andrew & Pauline Hrynenko, Bill & Mary Parasuik, Edward Mihilewicz, Anne & George Nemish.

A special thank you goes out to all those from Homecare, the Victoria Hospital, and the Community Clinic for all their care and support over the last few years, helping with Mom. The Visitation for Elaine will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with The Very Rev. Fr. Patrick Powalinsky officiating.
