Edward Parenteau

Edward Maxime Parenteau of North York, Ontario passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the age of 62.
Edward was born March 12, 1960, in St. Laurent, SK to parents George and Claudine Parenteau (nee Gervais). Edward went to school in Brantford, Ontario graduating in 1978.
He was employed with CNIB in Toronto for 34 years retiring in 2020.
Edward was an incredibly knowledgeable sports enthusiast and played hockey in Toronto with a visually impaired hockey team, the Ice Owls.
He was a very family oriented man and enjoyed being with family and friends. There were fond memories of having fun on the family farm with his siblings and nephews and nieces.
Edward will be lovingly remembered by his partner, Sandy and her daughter, Carol, and her children Nikolai and Noelle who called him “Papa”. His brothers/sisters, Leon Parenteau (Marilyn), Ervin Parenteau (Eva), Hazel Parenteau, Georgette Nicolas (Danny), Fred Parenteau, and Sharon Windels (Ivan), and their families, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves to mourn several friends and former co-workers.
Edward was predeceased by his father George, mother Claudine, brothers, Denis, Kenneth, Wallace and baby sister Cecilia, his godchild, Levi, nephew Trevor, niece Miranda and sister-in-law Beulah.
Edward will be buried in the St. Laurent Cemetery along with his parents, grandparents, and deceased siblings. A graveside memorial service will be held at in St. Laurent on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
