Edward “Ed” John Masson
January 25, 1945 – March 26, 2020
Ed passed away in Prince Albert Victoria Hospital with family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Connie (nee Evans); his son, Myron (Gail) Masson; his daughter: Corelei Masson; and granddaughter, Jessica Ducharme. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Shauna Dee; his father, Jock Masson; his mother and step-father, Marie and Ray Baril; his grandparents: Walter and Marie Halliday; and his favorite fishing companion, his dog Sandy in 2015.
As a youngster Ed played Little League Ball and as a young adult, softball. During his working years he was in the footwear industry. He enjoyed fishing, camping, Mexican holidays, and trailering to Texas for winters after his retirement. Playing guitar in bands and playing for fun with friends was another favorite pastime. For twelve years Ed and Connie lived in their cabin at Nemeiben Lake year-round. Then, due to failing health, moved to Prince Albert for the winter and then back to the lake for summers. He will be missed by many family and friends. Thank you to the staff at Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Ed may be made to the Charity of your Choice. A Celebration of Ed’s life will be held at a later date. Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, Tracy-Lynn Lenchuk, Funeral Director, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
Prayer for Serenity
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
