Edward “Ed” Hrischuk 1933 – 2014 Ed, husband/dad/papa passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, SK. Ed was born at home in Foxford, SK to Nick and Sophie Hrischuk (nee Bondarenko). Ed grew up at the family farm in Foxford. He farmed, hauled logs from Candle Lake, gravelled and worked as an electrician in Uranium City and Prince Albert where he retired. He is survived by his soul mate of 54 years (on the day he passed) Dorothy (Servinski); children Brian (Brenda), Marilyn (Perry) Ksyniuk, Terry, Les (Naomi); grandchildren Matthew, Brittany, Samara, Marec, Niko and Maisy. Also remembered by Lisa Hrischuk; brother Mike (Kathy) Hrischuk; brother-in-law Lloyd Forrest; sisters-in-laws Nellie Behersky, Anne & Norma Hrischuk, Karen Elliott; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends Flo (Ed) Eckdahl and Len. He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Sophie Hrischuk (nee Bondarenko); siblings Lennerd Behersky, Lawrence, Lloyd, Eldon, Garry, Evelyn and Rose. Special thanks to Dr. Harris, Dr. Friesen, Dr. Dala, Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Koppel and all the staff at both Victoria and St. Paul’s Hospital. Also “Mr. Terrible” says thanks to the staff at the South Hill Lab. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2014 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Deacon Eldon Danielson officiating. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Saskatchewan Branch, #1 – 2217 Hanselman Court, Saskatoon, SK S7L 9Z9 or the War Amps of Canada, 2827 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, ON K1V 0C4.
