Eckehart “Ike” Gerstner
1934 – 2013

Ike passed away at the Victoria Hospital on Saturday, September 7, 2013 with family by his side. He was born in Broadigen, Germany on February 18, 1934. Ike is survived by his loving wife Christel; his children VERA (Ken) Petrucha, RITA (Archie) Balaski, REINER (Corrine) Gerstner, BARB Gueregueta, DIANA (Wayne) Grieves, NORMAN (Janice) Gerstner, SANDRA (Randy) Fiessel, ALVIS (Brenda) Gerstner and LISA Gerstner; 24 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; his sister Rosemarie; as well as other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Heinz and Erna Gerstner; his son-in-law Juan Guerequeta; his sister Irmtraud; his sister Ruth; his brother Adolph and his parents-in-law Hienrich and Annelene Freese. As per Ike’s request no funeral service will be held. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
