John “Dwight” Sachkowski
1948 ~ 2025
It is with the heaviest of broken hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of our Beloved brother, husband, father, Papa, and soon to be Great Papa.
With Dwight, it was all about family, family was the centre of His Life.
He took great joy and pride in caring and providing for His Family, and watching his boys grow. Dwight was so proud of His sons, Dwight (Jr.) and Bob, and his grandchildren, Kyler and Raine.
Dwight’s memory will live on through his children.
In Dwight, I found the Love of my Life and my closest, truest Friend. We loved his beautiful smile. He made us laugh with his antics and mischief.
His absence will leave a void for those he leaves behind.
We wish to thank everyone who took the time to express their sadness and compassion. Colette Harnett, our family will be forever grateful for your kindness and support, helping us send Dwight on his way.
At Dwight’s request there will be no funeral service. Family will gather at a later date.
Dwight is survived by his wife, Bonnie (née King) Sachkowski; his sons, Dwight Jr. (Karri) Sachkowski, Bob (Linda) Sachkowski; grandson, Kyler Sachkowski (Tristan); granddaughter, Raine Sachkowski (Braden); sisters, Marg Marshall (Lorne), Lillian Gibbs, Doris Scott; sisters-in-law, Lesia Sachkowski, Helene Sachkowski, Judy Perret (Ron), Donna Brann (Mark), Vicki Parenteau (Alvin), Beth Ament (Terry); brothers-in-law, Jack King (Karen), Bob King (Marian), Ted King (Wilma), Hugh King (Wilma), Perry King (Valerie); numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Ann Sachkowski; brothers, Marvin Sachkowski, Melvin Sachkowski; brothers-in-law, Marvin Gibbs, Ray Green; his parents-in-law, Ted and Betty King.
His favourite quote by Helen Keller:
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, heard or even touched. They must be felt with the heart”
Rest easy, Johnny.
