It is with heavy hearts that the family of Duncan Sidney Bird, late of Montreal Lake, SK announce his passing on August 12^th, 3036 at the age of 80 years. Duncan was born in Montreal Lake, SK on January 6^th, 1946.

Duncan will be lovingly remembered by his children Dwayne Bird, Tammy Jo Bird, Jonathan Halkett, & Maxine Kahsokeo; his siblings Flossie Charles, Nora Lavallee – Roberts, Mary Naytowhow, Caroline Lavallee, Thomas Lavallee, Noel Lavallee, Fred Lavalle, Peter Lavallee; his uncles Jacob Lavallee, Billy Lavallee; his special niece Brooke Smith; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends. Duncan was predeceased by his mother Sarah Bird; his father Jonas Lavallee; his paternal grandparents Flossie & Moise Lavallee; his siblings James Lavallee, Elaine Lavallee, Susan Bird, George Lavallee, & Stanley Lavallee; & his sister at infancy Isabella Lavallee.

A Wake Service will be held on Friday, August 14^th, 2026, at 7 PM at the St. Joseph Anglican Church in Montreal Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 15^th, 2026, at 10 AM at the St. Joseph Anglican Church in Montreal Lake, SK. The Interment will take place at the Molanosa Cemetery in Molanosa, SK. The Officiant will be Rev. Harry Halkett. The Honourary Pallbearers are Fred Lavallee, Thomas Lavallee,Wayne Bird, Draven Bird, Kaylin Bird, Austin Bird, and all those who shared in his life. The Pallbearers are all those who knew and loved him.

Duncan will be remembered with love and respect by his family, friends, relatives, and community members. Throughout his life, he touched many lives through his kindness, wisdom, and enduring spirit. His memory will remain a cherished blessing to all who knew him.
