Douglas Allan Berg

Douglas Allan Berg was born August 12, 1952 to Henry & Margeurite (Snell)Berg in Melfort, SK. Doug was the eldest son and in the years following Gerald, Janice and Ross were born.
Doug attended Pleasantdale School where he completed his grade 12 and then went on to Moose Jaw to complete his journeyman’s in welding. Doug worked in a variety of places throughout BC and Alberta.
In 1978, Doug returned home to start a Dairy farm with his brother Gerald. Together they ran the Dairy farm plus did grain farming.
In 1982, Doug went to the Farmer’s Market in Melfort and bought a pair of moccasins from his future wife, Hazel. Doug & Hazel made their home together at the Berg Farm and had three wonderful children; Jake (’83), Beth (’85) & Marc (’87).
Doug took pleasure in spending time with his family, cooking, gardening, visiting and of course, his horses!
Douglas is survived by his wife Hazel (nee Ducharme); his son Jake (Cindi) Berg and their children Matthew & Benjamin; his daughter Beth Berg and her children Jada & Alexis; his son Marc (Chantelle) Berg and their son Gage; his siblings Gerald Berg, Janice (Mervin) Schmitz and Ross (Cheryl) Berg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Henry & Margeurite Berg.
