Dory Marie Provencher “Mama Bear” was born on January 17, 1967, in Prince Albert to Alphonse and Gisele Provencher. She passed away October 12, 2016 at the Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert.

Dory grew up on the farm in Albertville. She started school in Albertville and Graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Prince Albert in 1988. She moved to Edmonton and soon afterwards welcomed her beautiful daughter Marsha in 1994; 1996 she moved back to Prince Albert. Dory attended the Academy of Learning in 1997 and received her Early Childhood Development Certificate.  She resided in Prince Albert until her passing.

Dory will be remembered by her enormous heart, warming smile and the love she had for others.  She was everyone’s babysitter and to many a second mother, always there to offer a helping hand in any way.

Dory is survived by her loving family; her daughter Marsha Provencher (Justin Howat); her brother Roland (Donna) Provencher and their family Daniel (Jenna) Provencher-Natalie; Matthew Provencher; Morgan (Marc) Chanteloupe – Colter; Riley Provencher; her sister, Lisa Provencher and her daughter Breanna Provencher; her sister Susan (Kyle) Brown and their family Devon Brown; Mitchell Brown; Samantha Brown; her sister Debbie and family (Tim) Swanson: Cynthia Patterson – Annaliese Patterson, Ashlynn Patterson, Jaden Patterson; Bryson (Shana) Tymchatin – Kyler.

Dory was predeceased by her parents Gisele (nee Joanette) Provencher and Alphonse Provencher.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at St. Mark Parish, with Father Jim Kaptein officiating. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Albertville following lunch.
