It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and great-great-great-grandmother Dorothy Eileen Palmer (nee Young). Dorothy was born eldest daughter to Alice and James Young on November 12, 1911. She was predeceased by the love of her life Virden Palmer in 1980 whom she had married in 1929; her parents Alice Young (nee Staines) and James Young; her son-in-law William Fowler; two grandsons; one granddaughter in infancy; her grandson-in-law William Johnson; her great-grandson Tracy Juker; her three sisters Ada, Stella and Edna; her brother Lyle. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Wanetta; her grandchildren Maureen Juker, Murray, Maria, Bradley, Lucie, Grant and Douglas Fowler; sixteen great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; eight great-great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews including Linda Johnson whom she cared for from age 10. Dorothy lived a very family oriented life. Her family was her greatest joy and she was always interested in what was going on in their lives. In her earlier years she enjoyed dancing, music, playing cards or marbles, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, having family and friends over and especially feeding them. She made friends with her neighbours wherever they moved and kept in contact with them long after they moved on. Dorothy was a Raider fan, and she and Virden were long-time season ticket holders. She was well into her nineties when she attended her last game. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Mont St. Joseph Care Home for the care they gave to Dorothy during her stay there. We will miss you Dorothy for the guidance and the impact that you have made in our lives. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Mr. Brad Fowler will officiate. Interment will take place in the Garden of the Last Supper, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of RIVER PARK MEMORIAL CHAPEL, Prince Albert, SK 306-764-2727, Donald M. Moriarty, Funeral Director
