It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donna Joyce Moosehunter, late of Sturgeon Lake, SK on April 12^th, 2022, at the age of 70 years. Donna was born in Sturgeon Lake, SK on May 19^th, 1951. Donna will be lovingly remembered by her children Ruby Badger, Prince Albert, SK (3 daughters Alison Badger, McKenzie Badger, & Donna Smith), Rick Maynor, New Orleans (2 kids Michelle & Michael), Hector (Candace) Moosehunter, Sturgeon Lake, SK (2 kids), Tony (Sherry) Moosehunter, Sturgeon Lake, SK (Caleb Moosehunter, Leah Moosehunter, Liz Moosehunter, Dalton Denego, Serena Moosehunter, Anna Moosehunter, & Samantha Moosehunter), & Wendy Moosehunter (Quincy Bighead), Saskatoon, SK (Braelynn, Davian, & Zednik); her 22 grandchildren; her 4 great-grandchildren; her adopted daughters Christen Daniels (Kevin Ermine), & Terilynn Daniels; her sisters Mary Ann (David) Moccasin, & Mary Badger (Earl Gladue); her brothers Anthony (Gloria) Badger, & Dean (Francine) Badger; her adopted sisters Ester, Rita, Sharon, Maxine, Helen Bighead, Joanne Daniels, Jennifer Ermine, Gloria Moosehunter, & Hilda Moosehunter. Donna was predeceased by her husband Henry Moosehunter; her children Karen Moosehunter, Amanda Moosehunter, Patricia Moosehunter, & Garnett Moosehunter; her parents Joseph (Elizabeth) Badger; her brothers Wayne Badger & Randy Badger; her stepmom Wilma Badger; her grandparents Alice Badger & John Badger; her nephews Mathew Ermine & David Ermine; her in-laws Colin & Louisa Moosehunter. A Wake Service will be held on Thursday, April 14^th, 2022, at 5 PM at the Sturgeon Lake Community Centre. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 16^th, 2022, at 2 PM at the Sturgeon Lake Community Centre in Sturgeon Lake, SK. The officiant will be Mike Daniels. The speaker will be Henry Felix. The drum group will be “Young Eagle Cree”. Donna’s honourary pallbearers are Gloria Moosehunter, Hilda Moosehunter, Helen “Tillie” Bighead, Bev Waditika, Jennifer Ermine, Sharon Standing, Joanne Daniels, Shelly Gallie, Beverly Ermine, Mavis Longjohn, and all those who shared in Donna’s life. Donna’s Pallbearers are Sheldon Ermine, Danny Badger, Clarence Badger, Duane Moosehunter, Darren Turner, Howard Badger, Carter Crowe, Gary Daniels, & Brent Daniels. The interment will take place at West Central Cemetery in Sturgeon Lake, SK.
