Donna Gerein
1956 ~ 2026

It is with heavy hearts of family to announce the passing of Donna Gail Gerein. She passed away peacefully at the St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK, on May 2, 2026, at the age of 70 years.

Donna was born April 27, 1956, to George and Harriet Mason. She was raised in and around Nipawin area and later moved to Prince Albert where she met and married her husband, Frank Gerein. They married in 1978 and in 1983 had a beautiful son named Andrew. Throughout the years, she has worked many jobs involving group homes, grocery stores and food service, and one thing she never failed to do was make friends with everyone and put a smile on their faces. After retirement, she resided in Choiceland. Throughout the years, she’s completed many puzzles and shopped, shopped, shopped. She loved spending time with her family and was also an active member of the senior citizens hall. She will forever be known for her sassy humour, witty comments and compassionate heart.

She is survived by her son, Andrew (Chad Oberg); her sisters, Mary Mason, Joyce Soransen, Shirley Johnson (Clifford), Mable Wilson; her brother, Ernest Mason; her special friend, Robert Carlson. As well many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and all who loved her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Gerein; her parents, Harriet and George Mason; her sisters, Heather Mason and Bonnie Mason.

The Visitation for Donna will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, May 11, 2026, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK. The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
