Donald Frank Wozniak
July 31, 1952 – May 25, 2013
As Donnie was being held in Linda’s arms, God called him home to his eternal resting place on Saturday, May 25, 2013. In June 2011 Donnie was diagnosed with cancer, and with Linda and his family by his side he began his spiritual journey. Each day we saw his strength of character and resolve as he fought his battle. He taught us all the beauty of living in the grace of God. Donnie loved nothing more in his life than his wife and their family. He adored his grandchildren Rielle, Christian, Blake and Zade. Their home on the acreage was always filled with laughter and good food. He never passed up a good time with family and friends. Donnie was an avid Blue Jays fan, so for his 60th birthday, his family surprised him with a trip to a Blue Jays game in Seattle and a fishing trip off Vancouver Island. Donnie was an entrepreneur and a carpenter. He took great pride in his work as a carpenter because he loved working, building and the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing a quality product. Donnie helped others feel that sense of accomplishment while being a carpenter instructor at SIAST. His real joy as an entrepreneur was Par Place, where he took pride in making changes so everyone who rented Par could enjoy it as much as he did. Donnie is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Linda; sons Tyler (Melanie), Rielle & Christian Wozniak; Dallas (Brooke), Blake & Zade Wozniak; Robin (Kristy) Wozniak; mother Jennie Wozniak; brothers Terry (Alice), Richard (Jacqueline), Glenn (Louië); sisters Elaine (Bob) Stefanski, Brenda (Doug) Gibson; Linda’s family, her mother Alice Fortier; her dad Otto (Mary) Scriba; her brothers Bob (Fay) Scriba, David (Linda) Renner, Thomas Renner, James Renner, Larry (Angie) Scriba, Andy Scriba; her sisters Judy (Arnold) Lunn, Donna (Larry) Deschene, Kathy (Phil) Tubb, Karen (Greg) Higgs and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and very special friends. Don was predeceased by his dad Walter Wozniak; his maternal grandparents Mike and Valerie Paluk and paternal grandparents Frank and Nellie Wozniak. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 – 4th Avenue West, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Reverend Father Maurice Fiolleau. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Saskatchewan Epilepsy Program at the Royal University Hospital. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
