Donald is survived by his loving family, his children, Franklin (Nikkita), Janet, Charlotte (Marius), Phillip, Margaret, Kenna, Gregory; his grandchildren, William, Alexus, Kayden, Evan, Alyssa, Michael, Marius, Arianna, Brianna, Thurston, Stewie, Orion, Adrianna, Julius, Sage; his great-grandchildren, Madison, Marylynn; his loving mother, Margaret (Seegoose) Ballantyne; his siblings, Jack, Jackie, Kathy (Kelvin), Leslie, Teddy, Eric, Edmund; his uncles, Bernard, Stanley, Morris Ballantyne; the mother of his children, Flora Jean Bear.

He was predeceased by his dad, Jonas Ballantyne; his aunties, Elizabeth Merasty, Margaret Ross, Adele McCallum, Lena Favel, Elsie Merasty; his grandparents, Thomas Ballantyne (Isabelle), David (Charlotte) Merasty; his brother, Franklin Ballantyne; his uncles, Issac Merasty, Harry Ballantyne, Jean Marie Ballantyne, Emil Merasty, Angus Merasty (Angelique).
