It is with great sadness that the family of Dmytro “Jim” Stratychuk announce his passing on December 27, 2025. Jim was born on Oct 20, 1944, in the Kalyna District, by Meath Park, SK. He was the second child born to George and Annie Stratychuk. Jim lived on the farm for many years and farmed with his parents and his brother Dale. Jim’s first son, Greg, was born in Prince Albert in September of 1968. Jim spent countless hours driving truck and would sometimes take his children on the road with him. Betty came into Jim’s life in 1976. They had three children, Kim, Michelle and Chelsey. Jim continued his truck driving career for over 50 years. He was known for his hard work and dedication to the profession. In 2020, Jim retired from truck driving and he and his wife, Betty, continued living in Prince Albert where they enjoyed spending time with their children, grandchildren, and his favourite dog, Max. Jim lost his battle with cancer in the Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert, SK.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Betty; children, Greg (Donna) Stratychuk of Cold Lake, AB, Kim Stratychuk of Prince Albert, SK, Michelle Stratychuk of Prince Albert, SK, and Chelsey (Olamide) Daranijo of Riverview, NB; grandchildren, Jaedyn (Katie) Stratychuk, Jordyn Stratychuk, Jaryn Stratychuk, Emma Sharp, Cole Sharp, Iryna Daranijo, and Viola Daranijo; siblings, Pauline (Tommy) Langford, Mike (Donna) Stratychuk, and Dale Stratychuk

Jim was predeceased by his parents, George and Annie Stratychuk and his sister, Dianne Stratychuk.
