He married the love of his life Doreen on July 8th, 1967, in North Battleford, SK, and they were blessed with 3 children, where they lived in various communities throughout the province. He was predeceased by his parents, Earle and Joyce Antonson; mother and father-in-law, John and Mary Pankewich.
Skip was a generous, caring person with a larger-than-life personality who had a great sense of humor and unconditional love for his family and friends. He always put his family first and was very proud of his grandchildren. Skip loved to travel with his wife and was always up to a new adventure. He prided himself of serving the various communities which he lived, and helping anyone in need, there was always room at his table. Skip left his mark in every community he lived and was loved by all. He enjoyed his volunteer work with the Lion’s Club, he was always around to help wherever he could. Skip most enjoyed his time storytelling with family and friends, and visits with his darling wife. Sharing his wisdom with his grandchildren was always one of his greatest joys, the biggest lessons he taught his family was to love everybody, give everyone grace, and to give more than you take. Skip was one of a kind, he was a dedicated husband who adored his wife and visited her each day where she resides at Mont. St. Joseph Care Home, where he showered her with love and flowers, Skip never missed a day to visit his wife. He made friends anywhere he went; there was never a stranger when he was around.
The family would like to thank the many families and friends who have offered their prayers and support through this difficult time.
