Denise Lindquist
(January 29, 1947 – November 3, 2011)
It is with much sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of an incredible mother, devoted grandmother, and cherished friend. Those who knew Denise were handpicked to be part of her life and will miss her terribly. She fought a hard battle with an insurmountable amount of dignity with her daughter and family by her side from beginning to end. She was born in Moose Jaw, SK into a family that would eventually grow to include her and nine siblings, each of whom she had a unique relationship with.
Denise moved to Prince Albert in 1969 where she gave birth to her only daughter Taryl. She spent the next 23 years of her life in Prince Albert working hard and raising her child. She returned to Moose Jaw in 1991 and went to work to finish her career there. At this time her grandchildren entered her life and became her whole world. Not a day went by that Denise didn’t tell someone something about her family in Prince Albert. When illness struck it was Denise’s wish to return to Prince Albert to spend as much time as she had left with her grandchildren, which she did and her days back in Prince Albert were cherished to her.
Denise is survived by her daughter Taryl (Kevin) Isbister; her two grandsons Nolan and Caleb whom she lived her life for; 5 sisters Judy, Susan, Robin, Joey and Lori; 4 brothers Lorne, Ron, Tom and Mike; many special in laws and nieces and nephews; as well as numerous Special Friends in her life.
All who loved her or knew her will unimaginably miss her for she was an incredible little lady throughout her 64 yrs.
A Special Memorial Service for family and those closest to her will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West Prince Albert, SK with Mrs. Margaret Ferchuk officiating. In lieu of other tributes those wishing to honor her memory may do so by placing a donation in her name to the Saskatchewan Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Canadian MS Society, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
