With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Denis Dewayne Zuk. Denis passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024, at the age of 65 years, at the Rose Garden Hospice, with his loving family by his side.
Denis will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Emily Davis; his brother, Joseph Zuk; and his sister, April (Edward) McDermott; his nieces, Reece (Courtney) McDermott, Maci McDermott, Trisha Roberts; his nephew, Dallen McDermott; aunties, uncles, and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Philip Zuk; his maternal grandparents, Wilfred and Philomene (Merasty) Lapensee; his paternal grandparents, Joe and Lucy (Caribou) Zuk; uncles, Victor and Robert Lapensee; aunties, Thelma Vickers, Eunice Stoltz, Angeline Head, Evelyn Sayies and Gloria Pruden.
Denis was born on August 11, 1958, in Lynn Lake, Manitoba. Throughout his life, he exemplified kindness, compassion, and resilience. He touched the lives of many with his great sense of humor, warm smile, and courage.
Denis was a pillar of strength for his family, offering love, support, and guidance in times of joy and sorrow. His presence brought comfort and solace to those around him, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled.
A dedicated Community Service Worker for 12 years, Denis approached every endeavor with passion and determination. His commitment to excellence and his willingness to lend a helping hand inspired all who worked alongside him.
Denis leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever remain a guiding light, illuminating our paths and reminding us to live each day to the fullest.
The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK.
A Celebration of Denis’s Life and internment will be held on Saturday on July 6, 2024, in The Pas, MB, where friends and family will come together to honor his memory and share stories of the joy and laughter he brought into our lives.
