Debbie Ann Roberts
February 18, 1958 – October 16, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Debbie, dear wife, mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on October 16, 2012 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 54. Mom met dad in 1978 and two years later, in 1980, they were married. Mom and Dad lovingly raised four children and enjoyed 32 years of marriage. There are no words that can express our love and respect for mom. Mom was affectionately referred to as “Grandma” and she also became known to her children’s friends as “Mom” especially to close family friend Jackie Spencer. She cherished time with her dear friend and sister in law Anita Roberts. Debbie spent a lifetime bringing laughter and light to our lives and she will be deeply missed. Debbie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Don (Sr); her children; Donna (Kevin), Don (Christina), Deanna, and Jesse (Liz); thirteen grandchildren Dustin, Blaine, Keisha, Seth, Tyler, Dante, Dylan, Abigail, Harley, Kaleb, Alex, Cole and Carter; mother Lillian Umpherville; sisters Doreen (Mike) Sanders, Cathy (Carl) Miller, Sandra (Ken) Bruneau, Janette (Sam) Cummings, Tammy (Grant) Umpherville, Eleanor (Glen) Umpherville and Jean (John) Sutherland; brothers Frank (Debbie) Umpherville, Merle Umpherville and Roddy (Shonna) Umpherville and numerous nieces and nephews. Debbie was predeceased by her father Ingram Umpherville; infant brother Earl Umpherville; her mother-in-law Reva Roberts; father-in-law Richard Roberts; sister-in-law Bonnie Bates and nephews Shaun Roberts and Jarrod Levesque. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2012. Both services will be held at Calvary United Church, 114 – 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress presiding. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director.
