Deanna Robert
1943 ~ 2022
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Deanna Fern Robert (nee Nagy). Mom was born on July 18, 1943, on the Nagy homestead in Foxford, SK. Mom attended her school years at Foxford and Meath Park. She was the fourth oldest of six siblings. On October 6, 1962, Mom married the love of her life, Raymond Robert, and enjoyed 51 years of marriage until his passing in 2013.
Mom was a dedicated caretaker. Not only did she and Dad farm full-time, and have a huge garden, but they cared for over 200 foster children over their years together. They also took care of her father and son when they were unwell. Mom was strong and fearless, she was always busy, but always found time to help someone in need. She had a huge love for old country music, and had a record collection that reached the clouds. She made the best Hungarian cabbage rolls around, enjoyed birthdays with the neighbour ladies on the farm, and fun with friends at the casino.
She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her family, her sons, Armand (Kim) Robert, Sheldon (Kari) Robert; her grandchildren, Kevin (Brianne) Robert, Melissa (Shane) Warner, Blake (Kristen) Robert, Raymond (Chloe) Robert, Sydney Robert, Riley Robert, and Brady Robert; her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Alexis, Boston, Payton, and Kaydin; her sister, Shirley Mahu; her brothers, Frank (Venes), Gerry (Pat); her sister-in-law, Laurie Stushnoff; her brother-in-law, Elmer Mauthe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank & Nellie Nagy; her husband, Raymond Robert; her son, Clayton Robert; her brother, Clinton Nagy; her sister, Helen Mauthe; and her brother-in-law, Ron Mahu.
A private family viewing will be held for Deanna at 12:00 p.m., with a private family graveside service to follow.
