David Wilson Sandy Charles, age 43, of La Ronge, SK, beloved companion of Diane McKenzie passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Wake services were held on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5 from the Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre in La Ronge. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 6 from the Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre. Reverend Burton Ahenakew and Reverend William Louis were the officiants. Tom Sanderson was the lay reader. David is survived by his loving family: his companion Diane McKenzie; his mother Stella (nee Sanderson) Charles; his sons Derek (Karmen) Beatty (Kylee & Kale), David Charles Jr., Jarred McKenzie Charles, Ambrose Roberts, Jimmy McKenzie Roberts; his daughters Kimberley (Tyrone) Beatty (Tanner), Kaitlyn Charles, Cierra Charles, Chantelle Charles, Jacqueline McKenzie, Wendy McKenzie; his sisters Grace Charles (Heather Charles, Marlena Charles, Warren Bradfield Jr and Robin Bradfield), Mary Charles (Tammy (Jeremy) Roberts, Douglas Roberts Jr., Courtney Roberts, Darren Roberts and Kari Roberts), Deanna (Darryl) Sanderson (Miguel and Gabby); his brother Joey Sanderson; his aunts and uncles Edward (Judy) Sanderson, Tom (Susan) Sanderson, Sandy (Barb) Sanderson, Norman (Kathy) Sanderson, Bella (Mike) McDonald, Jane McKenzie, Theresa Sullivan, Mary (Riley) Venne, Ruth Thompson, Zacheus (Virginia) Charles, Matthew Charles; his wife Clara Charles; his goddaughter Crystal Ratt; his godsons Austin and Tyree; numerous great nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by: his father David Charles Sr.; his grandparents Sandy and Hannah (nee McKenzie) Charles, Wilson and Emily (nee Charles) Sanderson; his step children Kelly McKenzie, Kaylee McKenzie; his aunts Maggie Debra and Grace Louise aunts in infancy, Rosie McKay; his uncles Stan Sanderson, Adam Alpheus Charles, Frank Sullivan, Samson McKenzie Sr., Gilbert McKay. David was born on March 21, 1971 in La Ronge. Interment took place in the Anglican Church Cemetery, La Ronge.
