CHAHARYN – David Glenn The Family wishes to announce the passing of Dave Chaharyn in Saskatoon at St Paul's hospital on Oct 27 2010; after a brave and courageous fight with cancer. Dave was born in Prince Albert, on December 21st, 1945 to Joseph and Noreen (Cummings) Chaharyn. He lived most of his life in Prince Albert and considered it his home. Dave's early passion was music he played saxophone, accordion, and the clarinet. He belonged to the Saskatchewan Junior Symphony, the Prince Albert Lyons band, and brought new life and rhythm to the old timers “The Club Five”. Dave worked 35 years for Correction Services of Canada, he performed various roles at a variety of locations across Canada. Ending his career as a Senior Parole Officer in Saskatoon. Dave was intensely strong willed, and led his life by example to his family and children. A prankster and child at heart, Dave was known to always have a joke or a story to make you smile. Dave's family was the centre of his life, he took great joy in caring and providing for his entire family, and watching his boys grow. Gardening was more than a pass time for Dave it was a reflection of his intense work ethic. He always had more than enough produce to last every winter, and enough to share with family, and to barter with neighbours. Dave is survived by his wife Connie (Clouse), his children Joel (Amanda), Marc (Arynne), Brad; grandson Connor; brothers Doug, Ken, Rick (Val); sisters Janice, Joyce & Kim. Dave was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Noreen, his infant sister Myrna & his brother Randy. A Prayer Service will be held at Holy Spirit Parish, 114 Kingsmere Place, in Saskatoon at 7:00pm Tuesday November 2nd 2010. The Funeral Mass will be conducted from Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 4th Avenue West Prince Albert, at 2:00pm Wednesday November 3rd 2010. Throughout his life Dave positively impacted many lives he was sincere and genuine to a fault. Dave will be loved and missed dearly by all who knew him.
