It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David Bradley Tash, late of Prince Albert, SK on March 15th, 2022, at the age of 61 years. David was born in Prince Albert, SK on August 24, 1960, to Eunice and Roman Tash. Dave had an outgoing and gregarious personality. He started working at an early age. At one time he had a job in a daycare, a popular waiter at Smitty’s, & Purolator for many years. He also completed two years of Arts and Science at the University of Saskatchewan. Then received further training in construction labor and safety led him to a career as a safety officer. This gave him many opportunities to work on several different job sites. Dave also owned his own flooring business, “Hardwoods by Tash” in Saskatoon, SK.
During his early school years, he belonged to the Boy Scouts. He was also a member of the Big Brother organization. Summers spent at the family cabin at Christopher Lake, SK was a favorite time for him. He enjoyed everything about lake life. As an adult, he lived at Christopher Lake, where he fished in the summer and snowmobiled in the winter. He enjoyed entertaining many friends and family and loved to cook for them. People would anxiously wait for his homemade cabbage rolls. Dave also loved the Christmas season. He collected many decorations. He had an interest in wrestling and later acquired a black belt in karate. David loved music and attending concerts. In recent years, he enjoyed spending the weekend at the Lakeside Festival in Waskesiu, SK. He had an ear for music and could play both the piano and harmonica.
Dave had a nickname for everybody including “Santa Jaws”, others included Holly Hobbit, Loverboy Dodman, Workingman, Fruit Cake, and Scoop (and you know who you are). His motto was that moderation was not in his vocabulary and this applied to both work and play. He loved speed from an early age. Harley motorcycles were his passion and waiting to ride in the spring was something he always looked forward to. Dave was also a fan of classic cars, especially muscle cars. He drove a few in his time!
David is survived by his loving partner Janet Mackie; his parents Roman (Eunice) Tash; his sister Cindy (Murray Johnson) and their children Holly (Dylan Powell) and Jody Johnson; and his sister Chris (Chad Hintz) and their children Brodie and Brandon Hintz.
He was predeceased by his grandparents James (Mary) Struck and Julius (Stella) Taszlikowicz.
David was loved by all his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and shared a special bond with many.
Dave was an advocate for animal rights. He became very disturbed by cruelty to any creature. He was an animal lover, especially dogs. Burt and Peanut were two of his favorites.
