David Alexander Britski
May 3, 1947 – January 3, 2013
David Alexander Britski, who was born on May 3, 1947 in Toronto, passed away on January 3, 2013 in Prince Albert. He is survived by his wife Doris; his children Jason (Tamara) and April; his father Lawrence; his siblings Jason Kennedy and Brenda (Greg) Callaghan; his brother-in-law Donald (Betty) Klepp, and many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Eva (Zalinko) Britski; grandparents Michael and Nellie Britski, and Nick and Ellen Zalinko; and parents-in-law Daniel and Millie Klepp. David grew up in Canora and Stenen, SK. He married Doris Klepp on April 6, 1968 in Canwood, SK. David began his career at CIBC in the fall of 1965, and lived and worked in Regina, Cudworth, Wadena, Hawarden, Yellow Grass, Fort Qu’Appelle, North Battleford, and Prince Albert. He lived in Prince Albert for 18 years and had many friends there, including the “Table of Ten”. He was a member of the Lions, Kinsmen, and Elks clubs in various communities. David enjoyed fall suppers, and visits with family in Crystal Lake and Canwood. He took many family vacations, and particularly enjoyed visiting Clear Lake, Manitoba and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. David was very athletic and liked golfing, fishing, bowling, and curling. He was an avid fan of the Roughriders. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man, always grateful for the small blessings in life. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kemp, Pastor Dennis Serfas, and the nursing staff on the 6th floor of the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, for their excellent care and compassion. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 28th Street W, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA, PO Box 1832, Prince Albert, SK S6V 6J9 or to a Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
