Darcy Lawrence Zadvorny
1975 – 2011
Darcy Lawrence Zadvorny passed away suddenly on August 17, 2011 at the age of 36. Darcy was born in Prince Albert on January 29, 1975. He went to school in Prince Albert, and was a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan. Darcy had a love of life and everyone who knew him, knew this of him. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone, even if you weren’t a friend. His close friends knew the loyalty he had to them.
He had many interests throughout his short life – bowling, fishing, hunting, golfing, motorcycling, snowmobiling, kayaking and riding quads – as he was an avid outdoorsman. Darcy had a special interest in firefighting – starting with Waskesiu Fire Dept. and followed by Parksville, BC and most recently trying to find fire trucks for the Heritage Museum. He enjoyed his pharmacy profession as a health care provider and counseling his clients.
Darcy leaves to mourn, his parents Larry and Diane; his grandparents Peter and Mary Zadvorny; a special friend Stephanie Turner; as well as many close relatives, friends and associates. He was predeceased by his grandparents Georgianne and Lewis Fyrk.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 260 – 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with celebrant Reverend Father Roque Concepcion. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
