With heavy hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Craig Joseph Samson. Craig was born on March 13, 1964 to Clifford and Margaret(Marg) Samson. He shared three siblings, Janet(Brad) Dent, Cheryl Samson, Ron(Laurie) Samson.

Craig had many talents, he had a special interest and love for the arts, music and drumming. Craig loved to talk, he could talk to anyone about any subject and he loved to share his knowledge. Craig had a kind heart, he was always willing to help someone in need, although he battled with his own struggles. Even when Craig found himself falling on hard times, he always remained positive, was full of life, and never worried about what the future may hold.  Craig lived life hard and fast, he liked to be the life of the party. When Craig put his mind to something he was dedicated to seeing it through. Craig’s journey through life was not always easy, he did his best to cope, with what he had; he was very resourceful.

Craig joined the Homeward Bound program in 2018, which without a doubt extended his time here on earth. Craig became a valued member of the Homeward Bound family. Craig made an impact on both the staff and the other residents in the program. Craig shared his knowledge and love for the arts with everyone involved. Craig was appreciative of the programming and support provided by the program; he was a proud member of the family. He loved the Homeward Bound “family dog.” Craig was dedicated to the programming provided and fought to do the best he could. The family expresses deep gratitude to the Homeward Bound staff, residents and anyone else who may have influenced his time there.

Craig will be remembered and missed by his immediate family, his Homeward Bound family, friends and numerous nieces and nephews.

Craig was predeceased by his father, Clifford Samson in 2017.

A small family celebration of life will be held in the future. Craig loved the outdoors and was one with nature, it would only be suiting to hold the celebration in the summer.
