Connie Michelle Bird

July 14, 1973 ~ March 20, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Connie Bird announce her passing on March 20, 2020 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 46 years.

Connie is survived by her children Dalton Sasakamoose (Kala Montgrand) and Destiny Sasakamoose; step children Gizmo Bird, Darius Umpherville, Braidy Vermette, Broder Umpherville and Brenden Vermette;  grandchildren Craig Erhardt III, Darien Sasakamoose and Josh Montgrand; parents Don and Gloria Bird; siblings Vince and Candice Bird; uncles Allen McKenzie, Bruce McKenzie, Tony Merasty and Mike Merasty; aunts Susan McKenzie, Debbie Merasty, Janice Merasty and Marilyn Merasty; friend Nicole Ballantyne.

Connie was predeceased by her spouse Darius Sasakamoose, son Terrance Almightyvoice, daughter Jody Umpherville, uncles McIvor McKenzie and James Bird, brother Donald Bird and grandparents Lucy Merasty, Mary McKenzie and Silas McKenzie.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at All Saints Anglican Church in La Ronge, SK with Rev Tom Sanderson, Bishop Adam Halkett and Edna Merasty officiating.  Interment will be held at All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
