Cole Ross Gordon Amy, age 28, of Prince Albert, SK, passed away on September 9, 2024. Born on August 25, 1996, in Wolseley, SK, Cole was a cherished son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend. He was the beloved son of Brad and Lori Amy, and his legacy of love, resilience, and joy leaves a profound impact on all who knew him.
Cole’s life was a testament to his unwavering enthusiasm for family, friends, and life’s adventures. From an early age, he embraced his passions wholeheartedly, including his love for the Roughriders, fishing, and classic vehicles. Despite the challenges he faced, Cole’s wheelchair became a symbol of his determination to live fully and explore the world around him.
Growing up in St. Walburg, Nipawin, and Prince Albert, Cole was known for his vibrant spirit and wide range of interests. He attended Central Park, Wagner, and LP Miller schools in Nipawin, where he made lifelong friends and enjoyed activities like bike riding, swimming, and hockey. His time at Carlton Comprehensive High School in Prince Albert was marked by his pride in watching his dad coach the Carlton Crusaders and his strong bond with classmates and teachers who accepted him just the way he was.
Cole’s journey took a significant turn in grade 9 when he began using a wheelchair, but this didn’t stop his continued his passion for mechanics. His skills and determination to be independent led him to the Lions Foundation in Oakville, Ontario, where he was matched with his service dog, Narco. This partnership became a cornerstone of his life, supporting him through graduation and beyond.
After graduating, Cole pursued a diploma in Addictions Counselling at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Despite facing health setbacks, Cole remained hopeful and focused on his family’s business, Shop Kings Auto Sales, where he proudly contributed to its success and looked forward to future projects.
Cole’s love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was his dad’s pride and joy. They shared a love for auctions, cars, Roughriders, sledding, and fishing. He shared a special bond with his mom, Lori, appreciating her dedication and support. His relationship with his sisters, Trinity and Brooklyn, was filled with mutual encouragement and pride. He was a devoted uncle to his niece, Aria, and nephew, JJ, who brought immense joy to his life.
Cole’s adventurous spirit led him to travel and experience life’s wonders, from snorkeling in the sea to becoming the legendary Tequila King during a family trip to Mexico. His zest for life, coupled with his ability to overcome obstacles, inspired everyone who knew him.
Cole’s physical presence will be profoundly missed by his family and many friends, who are grateful for the support and love they received from the community. His spirit, energy, and the inspiration he provided will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Cole’s life was held with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for the creation of a bench by Cole’s favourite pond, Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Prince Albert SPCA, or the Lions Foundation of Canada.
Cole’s spirit and energy transcended the limitations of his earthly form, and his memory will forever inspire those who knew him to live fully and joyfully.
