February 11, 1949 – June 2, 2016

Edwin Clifford Moore “Cliff” passed away peacefully at his home on June 2nd at Peter Pond at the age of 67.  Cliff was born February 11th, 1949 in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan to Margaret and Edwin Moore.  He and his sister Carolyn grew up on the family farm.  Cliff married his soul mate Gail Marie Weger of Melville on May 9, 1970. Cliff received his degree after studying at the U of R and U of S. Education was important to Cliff and he made sure that he passed that on to his children.  Cliff was a hard worker and devoted not only to his family but to his work.  He was employed for 35 years at Saskatchewan Penitentiary, including a few enjoyable years teaching a Corrections Course at SIAST.  During his time working at Sask. Pen. Cliff was honored with two Exemplary Service Awards.  Cliff had an infectious smile and laugh, and an ability to ensure everyone around him was happy and well taken care of.  His residence of almost 40 years in Peter Pond and endearing personality built him a “Peter Pond Family”.   Cliff’s pranks and jokes put people at ease and made him a hit at gatherings and family events.  Cliff was a history buff and when times were quiet you would find him reading.  He was also a curator for several years at the Rotary Museum of Police and Corrections.  Cliff’s memory will be cherished by his wife Gail of Peter Pond; children: Jeff (Carmen) of Regina; Josh (Kendell) of Regina; Megan (Andrew) of Winnipeg; grandchildren:  Brooklyn and Madison; Hannah and Lucas; Heidi and Lillian; sibling:  Carolyn Thauberger of Burnaby, BC;  as well as numerous extended family including brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cliff was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Edwin Moore.  Memorial Service will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 8, 2016 at Nordale Community Hall – 1306 6-Ave. NW.  In lieu of other tributes the family asks that donations be made to the Prince Albert SPCA.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
