LUBYK, Clarence Henry passed away in the early morning hours of March 16th, 2013 at the age of 77 years. Clarence is survived by his daughter Charlene (Terry) Farden and grandsons Spencer (“Bam Bam”) and Matthew (“Boomer”) of Nipawin, SK; son Peter (Tracy) Lubyk and granddaughter Katherine (“My Katerina”) of Birch Hills, SK; Sisters: Helen Krasko of Smeaton; Noreen Harris and Vera Zapotochny of Prince Albert; Sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Ray) Lestage of Kamloops, BC; Velma (Armin) Koerber of Cambridge, ON; Doris Eytcheson of Prince Albert, SK; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clarence was predeceased by his loving wife Edna; his parents Alex and Mary Lubyk; parents-in-law Lawrence and Velmie Eytcheson, infant son Clarence; brother Morris Lubyk; and, brother-in-law Ed Zapotochny. Clarence Henry Lubyk was born April 16, 1935, on the homestead near Smeaton. He attended Aldergrove School til farm work and logging took priority. Clarence met Edna Eytcheson at her work in Prince Albert and they were married on November 2, 1957. Clarence and Edna farmed together in the Smeaton area and also operated the grocery store in Shipman for numerous years while raising their two children. He spent many years working in the logging industry also – a reliable hardworker whose knowledge was appreciated in the bush. Clarence stayed on the farm near Smeaton till his failing health and mind forced his move to Pineview Care Home in Nipawin in March of 2012. Funeral Services will be held at the Smeaton Rec Centre on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Aldergrove Cemetery.
