Clarence Arthur Heroux, age 90 years, passed away peacefully at Mont St. Joseph Home on Wednesday December 3, 2014. Clarence was born on November 20, 1924 and was raised on the farm east of Domremy, SK with his 11 siblings. He married Marjorie Thorimbert on February 17, 1947. Together they raised 6 children while living in Birch Hills, Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Camrose AB. Clarence was a hard worker his entire life and a devoted family man. His working career was spent primarily in the automotive industry. At the age of 64, Clarence embarked on his retirement “career” as a maintenance manager for KFC in Prince Albert working until the age of 85. In his youth, Clarence was an avid ballplayer and proficient in breaking horses while riding bareback. He also enjoyed curling, fishing, boating and simply relaxing at the lake with his family. Throughout the years, Clarence and Marjorie hosted many social events, card parties and family gatherings. Clarence always had a soft spot for children and was extremely generous, especially to those in need. Clarence is survived by 2 sisters; 6 children and their spouses; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and special friend Margaret Robertson. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie; both parents and 9 siblings. Clarence’s Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Grays Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Linda Holmevik. Interment will be held at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Clarence may do so to any children’s charity.
