She saw the eagle and knew that it was time to go. Cindy Jean Hainstock of Prince Albert, SK passed away on November 2, 2015 at the age of 51 years. She will be sadly missed by her son, Damon E Valen Mirasty who was the light of her life; her sisters: Iris (Christopher) and Cathy (Rob); and her brother, Reg (Rita); as well as her brother-in-law, Michel Courteau, and good friend Lorna Blakeney, who have been tireless in their support. Cindy also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Rob (Ali), Ray (Carly), Karen, Lorna, Kirsten (Jay), Callum and Lochlan McKechnie; her in-laws Gus (Claudette) Courteau, and Sharon (Duncan) Hainstock and her biological family, the Mirasty’s whom she was so grateful to have reconnected with. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Duncan and her beloved partner, Neil. We are so proud of Cindy, she kept her son close to her heart, and her guitar close to hand; her playing touched the hearts of those lucky enough to have heard her. She faced the inevitable with calm dignity and spent her last days offering kind words (or a light) to others at the hospital. She visited her cats, and shared precious time with family and friends. She also went to a movie, enjoyed bannock and butter tarts, sipped double shot espressos and sat out in the autumn sunshine. We’re so glad you could do it your way, sis. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Cindy’s life at the Cosmo Lodge, Little Red River Park on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. She requested you bring your guitar (or other instrument) and share a song or a memory. Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium.
