Cindy Mary GAETZ

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Cindy Gaetz.  After a three-year battle with Ocular Melanoma and metastatic liver cancer, she passed away with her family by her side on April 12, 2016 at 46 years old. Cindy was born September 17, 1969 in Melfort, SK to James and Geraldine Gaetz.  She attended École St. Brieux School, graduating in 1987.  She moved to Prince Albert shortly after graduation and worked full time while attending SIAST for Early Childhood Development.  In 1991, she began working for the Prince Albert Catholic School Division as an Educational Assistant.  After seven years, she was offered a position as a Speech and Language Assistant, which is where she invested the rest of her career.  She was predeceased by her father James, who passed away in 2013.  She is survived by her husband Randy Kichula; daughters Jasmine and Carissa McGuin; mother Geraldine Gaetz; siblings Brad (Pat) Gaetz, Bret (Deanna) Gaetz, Wanda (Neil) Bortis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.  Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April1 15, 2016 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Margaret Ferchuk officiating.  Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 260 – 25th Street East Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Reverend Father Roque Concepcion.  Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
