Christine Grunerud
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Christine Grunerud on Friday the 2nd day of March, 2012. Christine will forever be missed by her husband and greatest supporter, Gary of 32 years; her daughter and only child Tracy (Cameron Zimmer) and her two beautiful granddaughters Kylie and Mackayla; her only sister Joanne Horseman as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Jacqueline (nee Mantha) Ellis. We miss you already … but we are thankful to see you at peace … Love you always. Christine was born on December 24, 1954 in Témiscaming, Quebec and moved to Prince Albert in 1967. Battle after battle, she inspired those around her with much strength of courage – always doing everything she could to extend her time with those she loved so dear. She cherished the moments spent with close friends and family, especially those summer days at Candle Lake with her beloved granddaughters, her absolute pride and joy. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Mr. Gary Bellamy will officiate. A private family service will be held on Friday, March 9. Cremation will follow the service with a private family interment. It is the family’s request that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria Hospital Foundation. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Don Moriarty, Funeral Director and Kelsey Bremner.
