It is with great sadness that the family of Charlie Keenatch announce his passing on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at the age of 55. A wake will commenced on Big River First Nation on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, with a funeral taking place on Friday, July 17, 2020, at the Big River First Nation Band Hall. Charlie is lovingly survived by, His mother, Matilda Keenatch; His brothers and sisters: Rodger, Leonard, Janet, Joel, Lydia, Darren, Leon, and Barry Keenatch; His children: Amber Bird, Michelle Keenatch, Amanda Keenatch, George Keenatch; He will be missed dearly by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and family. Charlie was predeceased by, His father, Morrison Bear; His stepdad, Sam Joseph; His siblings, Grant Keenatch and Brenda Keenatch; His nephew, Brandon Keenatch; His aunties, Cecilia Keenatch, Sophie Keenatch, and Helen Keenatch. The services were officiated by the Elders; honorary pallbearers were, All who knew and loved Charlie. Active pallbearers were, Ranger Bonaise, Nathan Mountain, Tharen Keenatch, Kelsey Joseph, Jonathan Keenatch, and Leon Keenatch.
