Charles Hannotte

Charles Hannotte, born January 8, 1925 in Prud’homme, SK, late of Prince Albert, passed away peacefully on March 23rd at the age of 90 years. On July 8th, 1952, Charlie married Marie Blondeau from Domremy, together they had 7 children. They spent their lives farming, starting in the Prud’homme and later in the Hoey St. Louis area. They loved traveling the world, including 15 winters in Mesa, Arizona. Charlie belonged to the Knights of Columbus and served on several other committees, one being the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. He loved farming, playing cards, dancing, and quilting. In 2014, they moved into the wonderful assisted living residence, Mak Lodge, where Charlie resided until his passing. Charlie is survived by his wife, of almost 63 years, Marie, his children: Gerard (Therese), Louise Lenz (Michel Hudon), Andre (Diane), Denise Cochet, Monique (Martin) Detillieux and Marc; 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lea Hannotte, Andre & Adele Blondeau and Rose Blondeau; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Charlie always enjoyed visits from his grandchildren, listening to stories about their school and various activities. Charlie was predeceased by his parents Jean & Anna (Gillisien), his infant son, Norman, and his older siblings, Suzanne, Auguste, Maria & Johnny, and his brother-in-law Guy Blondeau. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Louis Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Ramel Macapala as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Charlie may be directed to The St. Louis Cemetery.
