Charlene Mae Herman, nee Cook passed away on September 3, 2016 in Saskatoon, SK. She was born on November 7, 1957 in Prince Albert, SK to Lillian and Ken Cook. Charlene attended provincial schools in La Ronge, Creighton and got her teaching degree from NORTEP. She met her husband Jerome Herman in 1977 and married him in 1986. During her married life Charlene worked as a special needs teacher, librarian, office personnel, photographer, and youth care worker in LaLoche, Sucker River, and La Ronge. She got involved with the Full Gospel Outreach Centre in PA.  Charlene and her sister Lana ministered to the downtrodden and street people through a soup kitchen and clothing ministry. She also became involved in the music and singing ministry touching many lives.  She faithfully gave herself to service for the Outreach Centre and was a loyal, dedicated friend and helper to pastor Vern Temple. Charlene struggled with health problems related to her deteriorating illness for the past couple of years but that didn’t stop her from helping out at the Outreach Centre. She was selfless and thought about the needs of others before herself. Charlene loved everyone and treated everyone she met with kindness. Even when she got too sick to do much, she continued to be concerned about her children and tried to help others with food, a place to stay, or a listening ear. Among her greatest traits was her ability to love others unconditionally. Charlene was also very creative, she was an artist, great at arts and crafts, wrote her own songs, and loved to cook, bake and collect recipes. She wasn’t concerned about making a name for herself or having material things, she only wanted to show God’s love for people. We will always remember Charlene’s beautiful smile, her sweet voice and her loving, gentle, and accepting ways. Charlene was a wife, mother, sister and friend like no other. We will forever miss hearing her voice, her texts, her humour, her laugh, her hugs, her prayers, her visits, her love, and everything about her. We love her dearly.

Psalms 116: 16 says, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints”, truly Charlene lived her life as a saint and now she is in paradise with a new body where there is no more pain and suffering.

Charlene will be lovingly remembered by her children Justin, Christa (Jordan) Temple, Joshua (Janine), Julian, Chelsea (Howard); her grandchildren Jonathan, Jaryn, Chaya, Journey, Cressida and Terra; her parents, Lilly Wilson and Ken Cook; her siblings Lana Roy, Joani Barnett, Lori Wilson, Lynn Wilson, Leslie Isbister, David Cook-Jobb, John Cook-Jobb, Meg Isbister-Cook, Jacob Cook; special aunt Edie Venn, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jerome, maternal grandparents Edgar and Ida Venn, paternal grandparents Horse and Mildred Cook, nephew Daniel Wilson, her parents-in-law, Lionel and Adeline Herman. Memorial Service will be at 7:00pm on Thursday September 8, 2016. Funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Friday September 9, 2016, both service will held at the Prince Albert Full Gospel Outreach Centre.
