Freda McAdam
1937 – 2019
With heavy hearts, the family of Catherine “Freda” McAdam, late of Big River First Nation, announce her peaceful passing on April 21, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 81 years.
The Wake Services for Freda commenced on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 6:00 pm from the Big River First Nation Band Hall, and the Funeral Service took place on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 11:00 am, also at the Band Hall.
Freda is lovingly survived by her children, Clara McAdam, Clarence McAdam (Maureen), Sharon Rabbitskin (Wilfred), Leonard McAdam (Harley), Sandra Lewis (Irvin), Linda Weigers (Bernard), Archie McAdam (Shawna), Kenneth McAdam (Rita); her daughter in law, Rosemarie McAdam; her adopted daughter, Shirley Morin; 56 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her sister in-laws, Helen Albert, Edna Albert, Christina Poorman, and Elizabeth Albert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Freda was predeceased by her husband, Alexander McAdam; her children and infant, Arthur McAdam, Allan McAdam and Lillian McAdam; her parents, Anna and George Albert; her siblings, Edward, Leonard, Ivan, Conrad, John George Albert and Rema Lavallee; and her adopted son, John Angus.
The Elders officiated the services and the active pallbearers were, Derek Rabbitskin, Lance Pahtayken, Travis Smallboy, Jonathan Albert, Larry Thomas and Alexander McAdam. Freda was laid to rest in the Whitefish Anglican Cemetery.
