It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Catherine Adele Blacklake, late of Hatchet Lake, SK on August 2nd, 2021, in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 61 years.  Catherine was born in La Ronge, SK on June 26^th, 1960.  Catherine will be lovingly remembered by her husband Phillip Blacklake; her children Joe Tsannie (Kristen Natomagan), Lucy Blacklake, Jennifer Blacklake (Herman Joseyounen), Margaret Blacklake (Adam Besskkaystare), Phillip Blacklake, Verna Blacklake (Justin Joseyounen), Clarence Blacklake (Georgia Tsannie), & Melissa Blacklake; her grandchildren Kalea, Tristen, Kai, Savanna, Santana, Daniel, Danielle, Lunay, Gracey, Rayona, Diontae, Haygan, Haydrick, Hayzlie, Tanall, Brooklyn, Ashley, Seaianna, Zayna, Philanna, Vanita, Tanji, Haley, & Elijah; her great-grandchildren Clarity, Tiny, Raydan, Shelton, & Nathaniel; her godchildren Leon Dzeylion, Jacinta Moise, & Johnathan Besskkaystare; her siblings Veronique Dzenlioun (William), & Claire Tsannie.  Catherine was predeceased by her parents Thomas & Margaret Tsannie; her sisters Therese (Jimmy) Kkaikka, Bernadette (Albert) ShaOulle, & Susan Benonie; her brother Mike Tsannie & Pierre Tsannie as well as numerous other relatives.  A Visitation Service will be held on Wednesday, August 4^th, 2021, at 7 PM at MacKenzie Chapel in Prince Albert, SK.  A Wake Service will be commencing August 5^th, 2021, at Father Megret School in Hatchet Lake, SK.  On Saturday, August 7^th, 2021, A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Father Megret School in Hatchet Lake, SK.  The Officiant will be Father JoJi Chandamala.  Catherine’s Honourary Pallbearers are her best friend Evelyn Joseyounen, friends, and all those who shared in Catherine’s life.  Catherine’s Pallbearers are Leon Dzenlioun, Joe Tsannie, Michael Dzenlioun, Phillip Blacklake, Mike Benonie, Phillip John Blacklake, Joe ShaOulle, & Pierre Kkaikka.  The Interment will take place at Wollaston Lake Cemetery in Wollaston Lake, SK.  Condolences can be sent to the family on our website at www.mackenziechapel.ca.  Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium – Shellbrook Funeral Home.  Brian & Bev Stobbs, Renee Phaneuf & Mark Gyoerick. 306.763.8488.
