Cas died peacefully on July 18, 2016 after surrendering to a courageous battle with cancer. Cas is survived by his loving wife, soulmate and partner, Rose-Marie; his son Marc, wife Sandi and their family – Jared (Minnie) & Conner; his son Luc, wife Marilyn and their family, Joel, Colette (Corey) & Nicole; and his special cousin Serge and his wife Karen. Cas was born in Argenteuil, France to Wladislas and Marie-Louise (both deceased), with brother Jacques (deceased) and sister Helene. Cas, at age 17, with his family arrived in Canada to the St. Laurent district. Cas moved on to work in the lumber industry in Northern B.C. where he learned English. He then found opportunity to utilize his French technical training and progressed to become a Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanic. Cas followed that career path through Alberta and back to Saskatchewan and secured his Plumbing Journeyman and Commercial Gas Fitter accreditations. In St. Louis, he married the love of his life, Rose-Marie Cochet, in 1960. Together they moved to Prince Albert and started Cas’s Plumbing and Heating. Their hard work grew the business into a prominent mechanical contracting company. Cas’s passion for the mechanical construction industry and his tenacious work ethic was admired and respected by the people he worked for, the people he worked with and the people who worked for him. Cas will be remembered for his amazing resilience, inner strength and proud love for his family. A prayer service will be held for Cas at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at River Park Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Father Matthew Nguyen officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
