Camille LeFranc passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday, January 5th, 2015 at the age of 57. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shelly (Hiebert).
Born in St. Lazare, MB to Joseph and Therese LeFranc, Cam was raised on the farm, attending school in St. Lazare and was a helping hand along side his dad, mom and siblings.
Cam relocated to Russell the winter of 1978 and then moved up to Saskatoon the following spring looking to find work up North. He worked up North for a few years and during this time he met the woman he would end up spending the rest of his life with, Shelly Hiebert.
They started their life together in Portage la Prairie, MB and then settled in Melfort, SK.
Cam enjoyed the time he spent ice fishing, quadding, playing cards and hunting with his good friends. Over all these recreational activities, Cam was happiest at work. Cam was a great listener and was always genuinely interested in what you had to say and what was going on in your life. There was no exception, whether you were an adult or a child.
Cam had many health challenges over many years but it never kept him down. He always had a positive outlook on life and that was reflected in his character. We’ll miss his stories, his laughter and his “I’m doing alright, don’t you worry about me!”
Cam was predeceased by his father, Joseph LeFranc, mother Therese LeFranc. Cam will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shelly (Hiebert), sisters Marcella Collins (Wayne) and Jackie Plummer, nephews and nieces, Brian Jaster (Nicole), Tina Schmieder (Joe), Jo-Anne Baer (Merv), Sarah Delorme (Phil), Jon Collins (Stephanie), Matthew Plummer, great nephews and nieces, Ethan and Aidan Jaster, Megan, Emma and Joren Schmieder, Kalia, Ryan and Reese Baer, Cohen, Neala and Sawyer Delorme, Bailey and Coralee Collins, and Brooklyn and Aidan Plummer, in-laws Tony and Ruth Hiebert, Brad Hiebert (Shelly, Colin, Carter), Carrie Hiebert (Glen Mueller), Marlene (Keith Wilson, Bryn, Kieren) and his little buddy, Alexys.
