1964 – 2017

With heavy hearts the family of Byron Cain Ahenakew late of Merritt, B.C. passed away on October 28, 2017 at the age of 53 years.  Byron was born on August 1, 1964 at Bow Island, Alberta to Theresa and Irvin Ahenakew.

The Wake services for Byron will commence on Saturday, Nov., 4, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. from the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Band Hall and the Funeral Service will take place on Monday, Nov., 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Band Hall also. Interment will be in the St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery. Burton Ahenakew and Brian Arcand will officiate the services.
