BRITNEY LABOSSIERE-DIMMA
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Britney Louise Labossiere-Dimma on April 16, 2014. Britney was born on September 12, 1986 in Prince Albert, SK. Britney is survived by her Mother Sheryl Labossiere-Dimma, Father Tom Dimma, Grandfather Marlin Labossiere, Aunties Tammy (Glen Young) and their three children Ryan (Janelle Hipkiss), Eric and Matthew, Lorelei Bergen and her two children Alexis and Julian, Uncle Tim (Lillian) Scharkowski and their two children Marissa and Michael. She is also survived by her Grandparents, Helen & George Webb, Auntie Jody (Matt Holford) and their two children Kalie and Amy. Britney was predeceased by her Grandmother Marlene Labossiere, Cousin Courtney Zbaraschuk, Uncle Kevin Bergen and Great-Grandmother Mildred Labossiere with whom she shared a very special bond. Britney loved going to Grannie Labossiere’s house, and spent a lot of time there. She loved sleepovers with Grannie, going to church with Grandpa, Grandma, Grannie, Auntie Lori, Alexis and Julian, cooking and listening to Grannies stories. Britney loved all animals but had a special connection to dogs, especially her dogs Asher and Socks. She had several pets in her short life, and all dogs held a special place with her. Britney’s love of her family was deep. She had a special relationship with Grannie Labossiere, Grandpa Marlin whom she absolutely doted on, and Auntie Lori. Lori took on the role of second mother to Britney when she moved back to Prince Albert. Britney loved spending time with Grandpa at the cabin at the lake. Britney also loved to travel and had an adventurous spirit. She moved to BC in 1996, back to Prince Albert around 2002 for a while, and then graduated from Chilliwack Senior Secondary School in 2005. Britney loved to travel and experience Canada, but Prince Albert was always home. Chilliwack and Toronto were special places to her, amongst her travels. Britney really enjoyed the role of Scentsy representative. She always had a special scent going in the house or the Laundromat, and took great pride in filling orders accurately and always to her clients’ satisfaction. She could not pass up spending time reading books and magazines, always finding time to keep up with the latest best sellers. She enjoyed her quiet time, which was filled with riding her bike, skating, playing Wii games and constantly updating her Facebook status with new games. She was diagnosed with epilepsy from the age of nine, and had constant struggles dealing with the severity of the seizures. With the full support of her family and extended family, it was an ordeal that touched all of us, how she managed to carry on her everyday life was a constant reminder of her faith in God, and her love of the Church that carried her through the toughest times. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., on April 22, 2014 at St Marks Church, 581 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. Father Tuan Doan will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that a donation in her memory be made to the Epilepsy Foundation or to the SPCA. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Don Moriarty, Funeral Director.
