In Loving Memory of Brett Hugh Morrison

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Brett Hugh Morrison on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Born June 27, 1987, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Brett was the youngest son of Frank and Gail Morrison. He grew up surrounded by love on the family acreage in Foxdale, where his adventurous spirit and kind heart began to shine.

Brett attended school in Shellbrook from Grade 1 through 12, making lifelong friendships along the way. After graduation, he moved to Hudson Bay and worked as a hunting guide, sharing his deep love of the outdoors. In 2004, he pursued studies in corrections at SIAST and soon began his career as a Deputy Sheriff in Prince Albert, serving with dedication at both the Provincial and King’s Court Bench.

The greatest joy of Brett’s life was his family. His daughter, Blake Dawn, born in 2017, and his son, Lukas Thomas, born in 2019, were his proudest accomplishments and the center of his world. He cherished every moment with them, passing on his love for nature, sports, and adventure.

Brett had a passion for sports, whether it was playing ball or enjoying a round of golf. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, a passion he shared with his dad and brothers, and one he lovingly passed down to his children. His life was filled with laughter, friendship, and the simple joys of being outdoors with those he loved most.

He will be remembered for his warm smile, his generous spirit, and the way he lit up every room he entered. His legacy lives on in his children, his family, and the countless memories he created with all who knew him.

Brett leaves to cherish his memory his children Blake and Lukas; his mom Gail; his brother Dallas (Skye) and family Georgia and Berlin; sister-in-law Rebecca (special friend Greg); numerous aunties, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his dad Frank; his brother Carson; his grandparents.

Funeral Service will take place at 2pm on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Shellbrook Community Hall.  In lieu of memorial donations, a trust fund has been set up at the Scotia Bank in trust to Blake Dawn and Lukas Thomas, his beloved children.
