Brenda Leask

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Leask at the age of 66 on January 6, 2024 in Saskatoon, SK.
Brenda is survived by her loving and devoted husband Gordon Leask; daughters Anne (Dan) Pedersen, Amanda (Damien Petit)
Basaraba; grandchildren Keanna, Brady, Toni, Haley, and Landon; great grandchild Oakley; brothers Tony (Linda), Raymond, Wayne (Shannon), and Joey Basaraba; sisters Joanne(Richard) Perry, Karen (Armand) Marchildon; numerous nieces and nephews; and very good friend Wendy Lebrun.
Brenda was predeceased by her parents; Joe and Gertie Basaraba, and brothers Jerry and Calvin Basaraba.
Brenda was born in Prince Albert on September 30, 1957. Brenda excelled in sports, especially women’s softball. She started playing softball at the age of 14 for the Brown Dusters and was their pitcher for many years, helping them win several championships. Family was important to Brenda and she loved spending time with them. Brenda also enjoyed fishing and spent many summer days fishing down on the North Saskatchewan River bank and at LaColle Falls.
A Celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at 1pm on Friday May 17, 2024 at the East End Hall, with a lunch provided by Local 7 Metis Women.
