Brenda passed away peacefully following a rough battle with cancer Friday January 5, 2018 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. Brenda was born in Medicine Hat, AB on May 28, 1950 to Wally and Mary Bower. As a child she moved to Red Deer, AB later graduating from the Comprehensive High School. Brenda met the love of her life, and her and Jack were married September 15, 1967. In 1972, they moved to Prince Albert where Brenda took pride in staying at home to raise their four children. As the family grew older she re-entered the work force, working at Woolco, Walmart and A&W. She enjoyed keeping busy gardening, knitting, photography and visiting with friends and family. Brenda’s children, grandchildren and pets were all very special to her! Brenda will be loving remembered by her husband of 50 years Jack; her children Laurie (Dave) Colter of Swift Current, SK, Wes Hammond of Coleville, SK, Craig Hammond of Prince Albert, SK, and Steven Hammond of Prince Albert, SK; her grandchildren Cassandra (Dave) Lavoie, Kamera (Ian) Philpott, Bridget Lavoie, Donovan Lavoie, Brock Lavoie, and Rylan Hammond; and her sister Joyce Stickel. She was predeceased by her father Wally Bower, mother Mary Morley, sister Dianna (Allan) Powel and brother- in- law Dave Stickel.  The  Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00pm Saturday June 30, 2018 at the MacDowall  Recreation Centre.
