Brenda Dutchak
1968 – 2024
It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Brenda Lee Dutchak on Friday, September 13, 2024. Loving daughter of Barry and Donna, sister to LeeAnn (Dennis) Osler and Trevor (Coralee). Proud Auntie to Kurt, Ashley, Nick and Jake. Brenda will be dearly missed by many family members and friends including her best friend, Kathy.
Brenda was predeceased by her Grandpa “Bugga” and Grandma Hayes, Grandpa and Grandma Dutchak, and special cousin Josh Dutchak.
Brenda was born on March 15, 1968 in Edmonton, Alberta. At a young age Brenda moved with her family to Prince Albert. Here she attended school and began her career at the tender age of 14 at Central Answering Service. Her career expanded decades as she received her Emergency Medical Dispatch Certificate and was Operations Manager running the Parkland Communications Center until she retired in 2018. For over 35 years, Brenda dedicated her career to helping others and those in need. She was so proud to work along side all the professionals at Parkland Ambulance. Her life was a calling to help people.
Brenda had a zest for life and lit up the room when she walked in. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Brenda loved to travel. Where there was the warm sunshine, she was there. From Hawaii, to Jamaica, to Huatulco you would find Brenda soaking in the hot sun. During her retirement, Brenda spent her winters in sunny Arizona just like she had planned.
Brenda’s pride and joy were her niece and nephews. She lived for them and supported them in everything they did. She loved them so much.
Brenda was an avid animal lover. If she had her way, every pet at the Prince Albert SPCA would have lived with her. Her special dog Harley and cat Arctic were her babies which she loved dearly.
Growing up through the years Brenda had many special times with her Dad, Mom, sister LeeAnn, and brother Trevor. They had many family vacations together, summers at Emma Lake, ski trips to Whitefish. So many wonderful memories were made during these times together.
Though Brenda’s journey on this earth was too short, she lived her life by the motivational three-word phrase “Live, Laugh, Love”
Brenda…you will be so dearly missed; we love you more, till we meet again our angel.
The family would like to Thank the very special Doctors and Nurses on the Oncology Ward and ICU at the RUH in Saskatoon. Their care for Brenda was exceptional.
At Brenda’s request, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Prince Albert SPCA, https://princealbertspca.ca/
