Brenda Lee Duncalfe,
June 18, 1957 to August 8, 2014
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Brenda Lee Duncalfe (nee Kelly). With family at her side she has come to rest peacefully after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Brenda was born in Saskatoon, SK and lived there most of her life. She graduated from Walter Murray Collegiate High School in 1974 and Married Kirk Duncalfe August 28, 1976. She worked at the University of Saskatchewan in the department of Chemistry for years before joining her husband full time in their business, K&B Agencies. For the past 9 years Brenda has resided at Emma Lake, SK where the Duncalfe family have enjoyed the lake life for decades. Brenda’s time on earth was a legacy of adventure, love and joy, she had a zest for life that showed in everything she did. She was an amazing mother who always put her family first. Her kindness and generosity touched the hearts of everyone she met. What she held closest to her heart, was watching her children become parents and playing with her two beautiful granddaughters. Brenda had numerous passions; running, kayaking, water & cross country skiing, hiking, snowmobiling, yoga, theatre, traveling, piloting a motorcycle and spending time with family and friends. Her favourite saying was, “we have to do one fun thing a day” and she lived everyday by her words and encouraged others to do the same.
She is survived by her loving Husband Kirk, Son Michael (Kimberly), Daughter Kelly Duncalfe-Baker (Simeon), two Granddaughters Dylan Baker & Isla Duncalfe, Mother Audrey Ewert, Father Arthur Kelly (Audrey), Brothers Ross Kelly (Lana) and Kirk Kelly, Sister Heather Kelly (Ray), Mother in Law Beatrice Duncalfe, Brother in Laws Brian Duncalfe (Harriet) and Lyle Duncalfe (Jane), her nieces, nephews and their families. Brenda is predeceased by her Step-Father Wilfred Ewert and Father in Law Stewart Duncalfe.
Please join our family and celebrate Brenda’s life on August 17, 2014 from 1:00 – 5:00 P.M. @ the Duncalfe residence Emma Lake Sk. Email: inmemoryofbrendaduncalfe@gmail.com for directions.
