1921 – 2021

With heavy hearts the family of Blanche Ranger, late of Marcelin, SK, announce her peaceful passing on the early morning of February 8, 2021 in Wheatland Lodge in Leask, SK, at the age of 99 years. Blanche was born on September 23, 1921 in the Moonhill District of Marcelin, SK.

Blanche was an amazing woman – a special and talented daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Her love of her family was profound, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her.  There was not anyone who knew her that did not experience her kindness, friendship, fun sense of humor, hard work ethic, her talent and love of gardening, cooking, sewing, knitting, quilting or one of her fantastic meals.  Everyone was always welcome in her home and she had a gift of making everyone feel ‘at home’ when you were with her.  Her dedication to the community, her strong faith and deep love of her family and so many friends will be remembered by all who knew her.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions in place, the family will have a private Memorial Mass held for Blanche on Monday, February 15, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Marcelin, SK, with Father Frederick Akah officiating. Blanche will be laid to rest in the Marcelin Cemetery.

Blanche is lovingly remembered by: Her children: Therese (Fernand), Marguerite, Claire (Vern), Raymond (Marlis), and Jerry (Jackie); Her Grandchildren: Leanne, Colette (Seth), Lisa (Anita), Jodi (Chad), Kevin (Catharine), Allan, Crystal (Jeff) and Jett; Her Great Grandchildren: Jakob and Marlo, Rogan and Cameron; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Blanche is predeceased by: Her husband: Charles Edouard; Her son: Ric; Her parents: Georgina and Joseph Beauchamp; Her parents-in-law: Yvonne and Dorius Ranger; Her brothers: Andre, Elzear and Josephat; as well as numerous members of her extended family.

In lieu of tributes, memorial donations may be made in memory of Blanche to the Marcelin Cemetery.
